A highly sophisticated gas sorption analyser with two physisorption analysis ports for surface area analysis and mesopore size measurements. Gases available include nitrogen. Two integrated degassing stations.

Surface area of pharmaceutical materials is a key attribute that can affect product performance such as dissolution rate, and processing  performance such as blending, homogeneity, and segregation, for example.

In addition to determining surface area, isotherm shape and hysteresis can be investigated in accordance with IUPAC classification, and can provide information on micro and meso porosity (pore size < 500 angstroms), for example.

Minimum of 2 g of dry material. Sample must fit down a column of 8 mm internal diameter. Sample can be recovered after testing.
